What happened in August?

2015 – Project 52 / 52Frames / A Picture a Week Challenge

Now that I’ve finally managed to upload the images for July I can finish off August and I will be ‘caught up’ on my blog backlog…

Week 33 – Night Photography

This is definitely one of my favorite genres now. I’m definitely still developing the skills necessary for different settings but it doesn’t stop me. While most of my fellow framers were pointing their cameras to the sky and capturing amazing star trails and so forth, I decided to point min down from roof of a 4-story building. It was an overcast night and the light pollution caused the sky to have that tone. I liked the simpleness of this image.

Week 34 – Wabi Sabi

So, I have no idea what this theme was about. Google helped a bit but I don’t think I nailed it completely. According to research, wabi sabi comes from Japanese and basically looks at ‘beauty in transcendence.’ I’m just going to leave this here… I took this image from the train at one of the stops. It might be chaotic and it might not be desirable to all, but I found beauty in the doorway and the cloth used… I’ll have to try a bit more with this theme.

Week 35 – Fire

I love fire! I guess some might say I’m a bit of a pyromaniac. So, I was sad to realize that I missed the theme once again. However, here’s a picture of one of my friends from a photoshoot! Enjoy 🙂

Week 36 – Dreams and Fantasy

Some might say ‘another portrait’. However, those who know the backstory would know why I used this for the theme this week. This gentleman is one of the first professors for my department. This was him during our first ever Alumni meet as past students spoke about their time at university and what they’ve accomplished since then. He was thanked multiple times for his dedication. In a way, he’s seeing his dreams and fantasies as a teacher being realized…
